Ten years as a U.S. Marine Corps Infantry Platoon Sergeant leading men through the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Thirteen more years in the Utah Army National Guard, culminating as Company Commander of A Company, 142nd Military Intelligence Battalion (Human Intelligence) and Officer-in-Charge of the Counterdrug State Plans Program. NATO deployment to Poland in 2021 as Platoon Leader. Armor Officer (19A-R7) with Cavalry designation. He has held every single company-grade leadership role except First Sergeant—from Squad Leader to Recon Platoon Senior Scout—plus four Army Achievement Medals, one Army Commendation Medal, and one Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
Outside the uniform, he built a legendary civilian career training thousands of athletes from middle school to professional level while coaching six years of football and two of basketball. That same fire now fuels his true calling: turning civilians, veterans, and weekend warriors into unbreakable leaders.
What makes Captain DuBois truly novel is his battlefield-tested philosophy in an age of grim intensity: “Be a joyful warrior.”He proves that the highest performance and the hardest missions are won with a positive mindset and the ability to find light—even in darkness.
